Allow yourself a date with relaxation. Atlantic Bay Rest’s sauna sits atop a cliff leading to a secluded beach with a hot outdoor shower. It is the perfect location for a sauna and ocean dip. So we can thank the owner Peter for building one long before saunas were so popular in Ireland.

Our sauna is accessible both to accommodation guests and outside guests but booking is essential.

If you’d like to book our sauna, you would have it for yourself. There is no sharing with strangers. So you can chat with your sweat mates about whatever you wish or be completely silent and just relax.

Bookings can be planned any time between 10:00 and 20:00 (last session starts at 19:00 but in winter this changes as we do not recommend dipping in the ocean after dark).

You can come alone or bring friends. The Atlantic Bay Rest sauna fits up to 4 people. Maximum 5 people can work it out but we don’t recommend it for the most comfortable experience.

Towels to sit on are provided but please bring your own shower towels and plenty of drinking water (you can refill at the shower – bottom tap – or bathroom tap if needed). The sauna is in a small private room where you can easily change and safely store your belongings.

Please note access for outside guests is restricted to the sauna, the beach and the hot outdoor shower to respect our accommodation guests’ privacy. Parking is also limited so kindly arrange to carpool in one car.
